Night Time Skin Care Routine šŸ§–šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

What’s up everyone?! I’m backkkk! ā˜ŗļø I’m so excited for this post today and hope you guys love it too. This week I wanted to do some type of routine/recommendations. I tried to think of a good topic for this , especially with the situations going on right now. I couldn’t do clothing stores yet because we can’t go to the malls right now. Didn’t want to do make up, I haven’t been wearing much staying home. And then I thought skin care. All of us are home, all of us have the time, and all of us are always looking for new ways to improve our bare skin. I always find it astonishing to find out girls call a night time routine , washing their face with a little Dove soap….

I love skin care. I love trying new products, finding something that works for me, and recommending things to others. I enjoy it so much I even went to esthetician school not too long ago. Now I’m the girl everyone comes to for skin questions. I love being able to help others fix their concerns, and find a routine that works for them. Not everyone’s skin is the same, all routines are different and will benefit your skin and most likely your skin only. It’ll take some time to find the right routine for you , but in the mean time here’s my nighttime routine and the best products for my skin!!

(My skin type: Sensitive , spotty acne , skin discoloration, dull , oily t-zone, Skin type II )

1.) Remove Makeup with Neutrogena Makeup Wipes

Out of all these wipes, you’ve got to go with these , and the blue ones! I know everyone has their preferences and theres a bazillion choices (trust me I’ve tried). These wipes give me the best results when removing my eye makeup and help with the harder to wash areas like my neck and ears. These wipes are always so moist (I know, sorry. lol) and remove almost all your face makeup after a long night out. (My savior on my drunk ā€œtake off makeupā€ nights)

Recommendations: None. I gotta swear by these…sorry sis 😬

2.) Pre- Cleanse with IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Makeup Cleansing Balm

If you’re the type to find yourself with makeup residue on your pillow case , make up wipes , and clothes the next day. A cleansing balm is your fix. I was always the girl waking up with raccoon eyes, and marked pillow cases. No matter how much I scrubbed and washed I still needed this extra step. I didn’t learn about pre-cleansing until I went to esthetician school and tried one of their pre-cleansing balms. A cleansing balm really gets in there and breaks up the make up and dirt off your face like butter. This allows for a better cleanse when you go in with your face wash next. This IT cosmetics balm not only smells great but a little goes a long way with this product. After initial application it leaves a sheer film to the skin , but after a quick wash with your everyday face wash it really helps bring all that leftover makeup down the drain.

Recommendations: I’ve only tried the IT cosmetics balm, and love it! I’m always looking for new products to try, if you have any recommendations. Please comment down below!! 😊

3.) Wash face with CeraVe Sensetive Face Wash

A quick wash with any face cleanser that works for you, day and night! I’m constantly switching between face washes so my skin never gets too accustomed to the wash and gets different benefits every new bottle. I always find myself coming back to this CeraVe face wash, not only because of the easy access at the drug store and cheap price , but how gentle it is on my skin. Always make sure you get a good lather of the cleanser and massage into your face using your fingertips. I always sing happy birthday inside my head for how long I should be washing my face, and focus more on my oily areas with the extra time.

Recommendations: Korres Greek Yoghurt Foam Wash , Fresh Rose Cleansing Foam (Both sold at Sephora or through their websites)

Rating: šŸ’‹šŸ’‹šŸ’‹šŸ’‹šŸ’‹/5

+3.) Exfoliate

I added this step as a plus because you don’t want to exfoliate every day. Too much exfoliation is bad for the skin and can leave you irritated and dry. I try to exfoliate 1-2 times a week when I feel my skin really needs it. I used to never exfoliate but the way it leaves your skin feeling after is just *chefs kisses*. When using an exfoliating wash, remember to not be too rough massaging it into the skin, and NEVER use St. Ives!!!!

Recommendations: The Body Shop Drops of Youth Liquid Peel (THIS STUFF IS AMAZING!! Your skin will literally just rub off, in the best way šŸ˜‚) , Clinique Exfoliating Scrub

4.) Tone with Heritage Store Rosewater Toner

I swear by this toner , WOW. This product is so natural and easy on the skin. I was using so many toners that stung my face and left me looking like a tomato and burning like fire. A lot of toners caused me to break out and left my face feeling tight and dry. This toner is so cooling and light on the skin. Smells amazing and leaves your skin so refreshed. It’s also a plus that you can pronounce all the ingredients and know it’s beneficial to your skin.

Recommendations: Sailor by Captain B. Sea Mist Toner , REN Ready Steady Glow Toner

Rating: šŸ’‹šŸ’‹šŸ’‹šŸ’‹šŸ’‹/5

5.) Serum

Most of the steps in this routine are set in stone until the product is empty. Serum’s for me are always interchangeable. All serums are different and provide different benefits to the skin. Whatever my skin is needing that day, I either mix a few serum’s together, or use the best serum for that skin condition. When applying the product use the tips of your fingers and press it into the skin. Rubbing serums in doesn’t allow the product to really penetrate the skin and give you the best benefits of the serum.

Recommendations: fresh Vitamin Nectar Glow Juice Antioxidant Serum , Truly Mary Jane CBD Glow Serum , GLOW RECIPE Pineapple-C Bright Serum , fresh ROSE Deep Hydration Oil Infused Serum

6.) Under-eye Cream with First Aid Beauty FAB SKIN LAB Retinol Eye Cream

Dark circles are my enemy and under eye bags are not designer here… I’ve struggled so much with fixing my dark circles and haven’t found the IT product for me. This First Aid Beauty product hasn’t knocked my socks off with changes, but I also don’t feel my money was wasted. It’s hard to decipher whether an under eye product truly works, there are so many factors to our eye areas, and they tend to be temperamental to fix. I know sometimes dark circles are hereditary, or from exhaustion and lack of sleep. But for me I just can’t get the dark circles right , I’ll try any product to help. I also try to do some type of eye mask, or under eye patches 2 to 3 times a week. Recommendations are greatly appreciated. 😫

Recommendations: Glow Recipe Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask , Youth of the People Superfood Peptide Eye Cream

Rating:šŸ’‹šŸ’‹šŸ’‹/5

7.) Moisturize with MILK Vegan Milk Moisturizer

After a long day of wearing make up and removing it all from my skin, my face feels absolutely dehydrated. Depleted of any moisture, and screaming for help. I love any type of thick, cream moisturizer, for me it makes me feel that it’s hydrating my skin a lot more (just preference). When I first tried the MILK moisturizer I was iffy and unimpressed, after a few days of using and seeing the affect it has under my makeup, I’m sold. I’ve also been getting into water moisturizers, and I’m not 100% sure how I feel about them yet. I have a Philosophy one that I’m about to try once this MILK moisturizer wears out, maybe I’ll keep you guys updated?? When using moisturizer I always make sure to apply generously to my face and down my neck. Using upward motions and avoid dragging the skin downward to prevent sagging.

Recommendations: First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Pure Mineral Sunscreen Moisturizer , Origins Drink Up Intensive Moisturizer, Philosophy Hope in a Jar

There you have it! 😁 Those are my seven essential steps to my nighttime routine. I also like to incorporate face masks after a night of long make up wear, or just for a little self-care. (I plan to do a face mask recommendation post , so keep a look out for that) I make time to exfoliate in my nighttime routine and incorporate Lymphatic dry brush techniques to my face and neck. My night time routine is ever changing, and I’m always looking for new products and favorites. Trust me. There’s an entire drawer in my house just full of skin care products waiting to be tested and recommend.

Hopefully you all enjoyed this weeks post and take something from it whether it’s a skin tip or new product. I’m here to be helpful. 😊 There always seems to be a billion products on the market and I can never seem to settle on one. So if I can save some you money knowing a product is or isn’t worth it , is a plus for me. As always thank you so much for sticking around and I hope you will come back to read more. I’m always open to new ideas and topics you’d like me to cover , and here to answer any questions.

Until next time beauties ,

10 Question Personal Style Tag šŸ‘—

Hello Beauties šŸ’• I’ve been feeling super under the weather for the last week or so and completely disconnected from the world for a bit. Grateful it wasn’t the virus, and blessed with my health. Thankfully , I’m finally getting around to at least attempting some work while recovering in bed, as my way of ā€œgetting stuff doneā€. I wanted to make a post this week for you guys no matter what. So I chose something fun and easy for me to work on. I decided on another question tag just for the fact that 1.) I love watching/reading tags, what’s better than being nosy? 2.) Question tags are a great way to get to know others , and 3.) I think it helps you imagine the writer better in your own way. Feel free to copy the questions and tag yourself , I would love to see your version! ā˜ŗļø

1. What do I feel comfortable and confident in during the week?

During the weekdays you will catch me in Lululemon leggings and an oversized t-shirt… I’m a sucker for being comfortable. Let me be confident on the weekends. šŸ’šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

2. What do I feel comfortable and confident in for nights out / weekends?

Anything that shows my bewwwbs, YASSS! Anything that makes my butt look plump and perky , YASSS! I tend to steer clear from skirts (at all times) , but most definitely when going out. Too much room for error. I also love wearing anything with a tight , plunging neckline to show off the girls (tastefully duhhhšŸ™„) A nice bodysuit, with some killer heels, and jeans tends to be my typical default outfit when in a rush though, can’t go wrong there.

3. When I go shopping, what section do I gravitate towards?

When I go shopping I try to make myself look for the items I need most in my closet. Which is ALWAYS bottoms/pants. I am the worlds pickiest shopper when it comes to bottoms and my selection at home is VERY limited. What are your favorite places for stylish bottoms/pants? Knowing this every time, I make myself go through mostly bottoms at every store. Not saying my eyes don’t wander to other items, because you and I both know they definitely do. I’ll never limit myself to just one thing to look for when out, a cute item will always be a cute item.

4. What 4 pieces have I worn the MOST in the last month ?

Given that I’ve spent the last two months social distancing my four staple pieces for this month have been SO different. Top pick for the month, sweatpants. Any kind, any style , I’ll be wearing them this month (and probably next too if I don’t stop eating…..).Next sports bras and tube tops. Sports bras don’t need much of an explanation except COMFY. Period. Tube tops though, they go with everything, sweatpants , leggings, shorts. You can dress them up or down. Definitely a quarantine staple piece šŸ‘šŸ» Lastly my go to piece for this entire quarantine is my mini ā€œpurseā€ backpack. Last summer I picked up a mini fake leather backpack from Fashion Nova and haven’t stopped using it as my go to since. Hands free , fashionable , and plenty of storage. This little backpack is perfect right now. Stays out of the way , arms free , small and touches almost nothing. Perfect accessory for a social distancing grocery run.

5. What 4 pieces have I not worn AT ALL this year?

Giiirlll…. my entire closet is pieces I never wear šŸ™ƒ I have a whole spot in my closet of clothes with tags that still need to be worn. Let’s start there. The first piece I know right away is my gray leather jacket. Saw it, needed it, still hanging in the closet with tags…. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m not 100% comfortable with styling it but I haven’t been able to piece it with the right outfit. Maybe one day? Another two items I have yet to touch would be my VANS slip on collaboration shoes and my NIKE ā€œfashionā€ sneakers. Another thing I’m picky with is shoes and how ā€œbigā€ my feet look with certain outfits. I know…. don’t judge me (and I’m only a 7.5… sigh). Those two have definitely not been touched all year as much as I love their look. You would think with Victoria Secret being so expensive for bras and undies I would’ve used my monies worth out of this next item but not once has it been removed from the drawers. Stupid little me bought a bra (A VERY SEXY, SPARKLY, LACY, CUTE BRA ….I HAD TO DO IT ALRIGHT!!) that cost more than one Benjamin.. and I’m not proud of it. I LOVE this bra on me , make the girls look great, had me feeling sexy and slim. I needed it. I told myself I’d wear it nonstop and make the most out of it, but you know when somethings just too pretty?? You just can’t pull yourself to do it. Because you know the moment one little crystal falls off, I’m going ape shiiii… #thestruggle?

6. What is one trend I’ve recently seen that I LOVE?

Bell bottom jeans, I love that they are coming back around and people have been styling them with more up to date fashion trends and it looks BOMB!!!! I need to find me a pair because I wore these jeans up until high school when someone called me out saying their ā€œgrandma wants her jeans backā€……from that moment on I knew never again. Until now , LOOK WHATS BACK IN STYLE LACEY !!!! Grandma who?

7. What trend(s) do I NOT feel comfortable and confident in?

It’s very rare I step out of my comfort zone with clothes. What looks good on me looks good, and I’ll stare into the mirror until the outfit is right. For me I don’t try any trends knowing I’d never wear it, hate it on myself, or feel people would judge me for the outfit. I’m very fashionably safe when it comes to my clothes. I will say one thing though…. those puffer sleeve shirts….gtgggggg

8. What pieces or outfits do I get the most compliments on?

Bags, bags, bags. Let’s just say I’m always down for a sale and cheap fast fashion. I don’t buy many ā€œexpensiveā€, ā€œdesignerā€ items due to me being so accident prone with my stuff. Ask the Christian Dior sun glass I blew a bag on and lost the following day… RIP my baby ā¤ļøšŸ˜¢BUT GIRL, bags. I will splurge splurge splurge, and anyone that knows me knows a perfect gift for me is normally wrapped in LV or sealed with a red bottom. My newest piece from Christian Louboutin (Cabata Logo Calf Tote in white) has been an eye catcher anywhere. The only downside is I use this purse so rarely just for the fact that it’s white and so prone to getting dirty. My next bag purchase I’m wanting starts with a Y and ends with SL. 🤫

9. What are some inspiration pieces that I haven’t given a try?

I want to say I’m not 100% sure, I definitely have seen a few Instagram influencers in outfits I’d die to wear but know I could never pull off.

10. What adjective(s) do I feel describes my style ?

Eclectic. I feel like my style day to day ranges. One day I want to be glam, flashy, and girly like Barbie. Other days I walk out of the house ready to go head bang at a rock and roll concert. Most days I look homeless but nobody truly needs to know. I always say you don’t need a set style , you don’t have to always be grungy , girly , edgy , over the top. I’m drawn to so many styles and looks, and if it looks good on me and I can pull it off. Let’s do it!

I must say it felt amazing to just sit down and type for a bit. Being sick has just been so draining and left me feeling overwhelmed and very uncreative. BUT I’m back and plan to be a lot more on track with posts and upgrading my page for you guys here soon!! I also made an instagram page for those who want to keep up with when my content will be posted and OF COURSE cute little memes and quotes. I’m a girl who loves social media.. what do you expect? If you want to follow along head over to @bottled.up.blonde and say Hello! I’d love to hear from you and any thoughts on my page so far. As always thank you so much for sticking around with me and being active with my post. Definitely a big motivator. If there are any topics you’d like me to cover , comment below. I’d love to see what you guys are interested in. For now enjoy the post , wash your hands , and stay inside !! If not for you , for others!! Talk to you soon šŸ’‹

30 Beauty Questions Tag šŸ’‹

Hi again , B here ! 😊 Welcome, or welcome back! I have a feeling I’m gonna be talking to myself for a bit on here , but at the end of the day I do that either way. I figured I’d start with something simple and fun, I always love to read tags in blogs and watch them on YouTube, so why not? Just another fun little way to get to know me! I went to Google and typed in beauty tags and clicked the first one that popped up(The Beauty Section). Today we are going to be doing the 30 Beauty Questions , feel free to tag yourself and do it too! I’d love to read them. Here we go-!

1. Do you remember your first makeup product ? My very first product was a clear Great Lash mascara (I’ll never forget those neon pink and green tubes) , but my first big girl product was a MAC customized palette for my 14th birthday.

2. Describe your perfect mascara. Have you found one that fits your specifications? Love any mascara that can make it look like I’m wearing false lashes. I was the girl to spend the insane money on the Benefit, They’re Real mascara (10/10). Now I use about 8 different drug store mascaras for the same results (hahaha don’t ask).

3. What kind of coverage do you prefer from foundation? If I’m using foundation, it’s for a reason. HEAVY DUTY BABYYYYY !!!

4. Favorite high end brand? I just discovered the brand Charlotte Tilbury for one of their foundations, and I fell in love. I haven’t tried much else from CT but just from their foundation I’m sold. Definitely want to explore the brand more.

5. What cosmetic brands have you always wanted to try but still haven’t? I’ve definitely tried every brand I’ve been interested in , 7th grade me was a Juicystar07 prodigy. Constantly just buying makeup so I could make the noise in the drawers when doing my never uploaded ā€œmakeup collection tourā€ , please tell me you can relate?

6. Favorite drugstore brand? My girl Maybelline , their foundations and mascaras 10/10!!

7. Do you wear fake lashes? I say this to everyone , if you can teach me to put on lashes, I’ll name my first born baby after you. I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve spent crying on my bedroom floor over putting on lashes before a night out.

8. Is there any kind of makeup you can’t leave the house without? Not necessarily , I pride myself in rolling out of bed and just walking out the door looking scary. If anything I like to always have something on my lips whether it’s chapstick or lipgloss.

9. What is your most cherised beauty product? I don’t think I have one. I’ve never been in love love with anything. I love changing up my routine.

10. How often do you shop for makeup? Do you like to pick up an item here and there or get lots of goodies at once? I’ll shop for makeup when I run out of things or want something new that came out, and normally when I go for the one thing I’ve ā€œaccidentallyā€ spent $300 on ā€œnecessitiesā€.

11. Do you have a ā€œbeauty budgetā€ or you spend freely? Refer to question 10… I’m not proud.

12. Do you utilize coupons, rewards cards and sales when you shop for cosmetics? Girl yessss , a deals a deal , and if I can save a penny I’m there. I love ULTA’s rewards system , and although they don’t have great coupons they always have great deals going on all the time. If a store has a reward/point system I’ll be the first to sign up, free of course.

13. What type of product do you buy the most of? Lipgloss

14. Is there a brand that you absolutely can’t stand? Not a huge fan of BareMinerals.

15. Do you avoid certain ingredients in cosmetics like parabens or sulfates? Regretfully no, I know what you need to avoid and what’s good for your skin but a favorite product is a favorite product… (don’t look at me). I’ll handle the mistakes with skin care.

16. Do you have a favorite place to shop for makeup? First place ULTA ,then Sephora.

17. Do you like trying new skincare products or do you keep a certain routine? I’m a skincare junkie , so I’m constantly buying new products and testing them out. Favorite products to shop for!

18. Favorite bath and body brand? I’m not big on bath and body stuff , I’m always forgetting to apply lotion or even buy it for that matter. What I get is what I get.

19. If you could only buy from one brand, which brand would you choose? Drugstore would definitely be Maybelline , and more high end would be Tarte.

20. What brand do you think has the best packaging? PR packaging included definitely Too Faced and Benefit. I dream of their new launch packages showing up at my doorstep one day.

21. Which celebrity always has great makeup? Kim Kardashian , those Smokey eyes and contour šŸ˜

22. Do you belong to any online makeup communities? No.

23. 5 Favorite beauty gurus? Carli Bybel , James Charles (I know people find him controversial but some of his work is just… *chefs kisses*), Gigi Gorgeous, Bretman Rock *ehhh heee bee*tch* , and Jeffree Star.

24. Do you like multifunctional products like lip and cheek stains? I’m still having flashbacks from my upper lip stained pink for days thinking I picked up a lip gloss. No.

25. Are you clumsy in putting on makeup? Yes, yes, yes. A big pet peeve about myself. I always rush my makeup, give me 20 minutes and I could be out the door. I’m not precise or graceful when it comes to makeup, and it always shows later hehe.

26. Do you use makeup base/primer for the eyes? I still haven’t mastered eyeshadow yet, so I haven’t dived into primers and bases. Just because I’m not very good at doing my eyes I tend to just do eyeliner and lashes.

27. How many hair products do you use on a typical day? I’m so bad at keeping up a hair care routine, but something daily? Maybe dry shampoo. I use a few oils and serums, but that’s only after I wash my hair every couple days.

28. What do you apply first, concealer or foundation? Foundation.

29. Do you ever consider taking makeup classes? I’ve never been into makeup enough to want to take a class , and I’ve found YouTube and Pinterest to be suitable teachers. I definitely see the benefits of taking a class for someone pursuing makeup , they always look so fun and glam!

30. What do you love about makeup? Makeup can literally be anything you want. You messed it up? Not if you say it’s meant to look that way. You want to do a smoky eye with bright pink colors and glitter to go to the grocery store ? Yessss. Make up can be the most basic Chapstick with a little mascara face, all the way to a full beat with brooms for lashes. It doesn’t matter what’s in style with makeup, cause there’s so many options, it’s up to you to decide it all.

Let me know what you think of my beauty tag and if you can relate to any! I love doing these and think they are a great way to get to know people. I’d love to see some of your answers below , or if you decide to do it , tag me so I can see what you think!!

Thanks so much again for sticking around , and hopefully you stop by again soon! Let me know if there’s anything you’d like to see on my page sometime soon.

And so it Begins…

Hi everyone, B here ! I’m not sure how you ended up on my page, or how long you plan on sticking around, but for now WELCOME and I hope you stay awhile 😊You’ll have to bear with me as I figure out my blog and try to make it as ā€œaesthetically pleasingā€ as possible. I’m not as tech savvy as I thought I was.

I guess you always have to start something new with a little blurb about yourself. I’m blonde (not naturally of course). Obviously. I’m in my 20’s and live right in the hustle and bustle of the crazy state of Texas. We have it all here. All the way from finger licking BBQ to taking shots at the coolest bars and clubs around. With all the distractions here , its hard to stay put. I’m currently not in college or taking any classes, but I’m working on my ā€œnext big ventureā€. (We’ll see how that goes) I feel like I’m still too young to know my exact calling in life. I’ll tell you one thing though , its not being a teacher , esthetician, or Ultrasound tech. I’ve done it all. I’m in a relationship. At least I tell myself I am… it’s most definitely what Facebook would title as , ā€œIt’s complicatedā€. A mess actually. I’m big on relationships so my S/O and family are my world , most of my time is spent with them. When nighttime rolls around , I thrive. I love spending my nights out getting all dressed up , dancing and partying with my girls, or working the bottle service tables at the best clubs in the city. A bottle of Ace never hurt nobody , hehe. ā˜ŗļøIf I had to give you a description of myself, I would say imagine Tinker Bell and Bubbles (with a sprinkle of Buttercup) from PPG got morphed together as one. I need attention or I’ll die. I’m sensitive and could cry at the drop of a hat. I’m sassy (and a little b*tchy my mom would say) but sweet when needed.

Think of me as the big sister you never had. Answering all the scary questions you’re too nervous to ask your parents about. Recommending you the best beauty products to keep you gorgeous and glowing , and making sure you have the best outfit in any room you walk into. It’s like one big diary of stories, tips, and tricks of being the Bottled Up Blonde. I want this page to be a positive and carefree environment. I want to make you laugh when you relate to one of my cringy stories, and think of my page as something fun. Ignore my spelling mistakes, made up words, and silly side comments. There will be plenty. Don’t just read the page , be here with me. Just like chatting with your girlfriends over Mexican food and margaritas. I’m your girl.

If you’ve stuck around this long for a simple, little hello , Thank you. I hope it’s enough for you to come back around and chat with me. Let me know what you guys would want to read about, questions, story times, favorites. Nothing is off limits!

Until next time ,

BšŸ’•
