TikTok Made Me Buy It!!

Hopefully by now you haven’t fell down the rabbit hole that is TikTok…. 15-60 sec. videos of comedy , dance routines , skits , and tutorials. I’m addicted, and when I say addicted, I mean ADDICTED!!! I’ve spent hours in one spot just scrolling and scrolling through the app. My friends and family are tired of receiving the billion TikTok’s I send them daily , and my brain has a constant shuffle of the popular songs cycling the app …. “cause I’m a savage , classy, boujee…..” I’ll stop. Not only is TikTok a great place for entertainment, it’s also a black hole for a shopping addict. Me. I’ve tested out of few products and wanted to share my thoughts with you guys. Let me know what you think!!

Revlon One Step Hair Dryer

Unpopular opinion, and I really wanted to love this one…. but I HATE THIS HOT TOOL!!! I’m not sure if it’s because I have thinner hair , or the fact that I live in a humid area but this was not it. My hair looked like someone had put me in the toaster wet and let me sizzle. I was so disappointed that I wasn’t getting the results all my friends and TikTokers were getting. The product is supposedly like taking home a salon blowout , giving the hair major volume and shine. For others using this tool I could definitely see it , which enticed me to buy the product… so what’s the secret?

L’Oreal Infallible Foundation

First let me start off by saying, I AM NO BEAUTY EXPERT. Some days I come out looking like Jaclyn Hill (minus false lashes because I just can’t….), and some days I look in the mirror and see 6th grade me with my neckline bright orange from the Maybelline Dream Mousse Foundation and raccoon eyes from never cleaning my liner off. It’s one or the other. BUT THIS FOUNDATION!! Let me tell you!!! Paired with a really good primer, this foundation ranks within my top five. Among high end brands and $60 price tags. If you’ve tried this foundation and didn’t like it, go back and give it another shot. The first time I tried this I ended up looking cakey and creased within an hour. After giving it another chance and doing my full face routine from face wash , to baking , to setting spray, I had found my new “everyday foundation”. The coverage on this foundation is buildable, and the formula is very light and thin. When you really put the time into this product and getting ready, it almost leaves you with an airbrushed look similar to more expensive foundations. I know this foundation might not work for everybody, but it’s definitely worth a shot because the results could be just as amazing for you.

Easy-Off Stove and Oven Cleaner

I am the worlds LAZIEST cleaner , I hate reaching up to dust , bending over for the baseboards , and burning my nose with products all day. Any product that can speed up my cleaning process is a + for me. When I saw the results of the before and after‘s of this on TikTok, I knew I NEEDED to get it. On top of being a lazy cleaner, I’m also a lazy cooker…. I get majorly distracted or try to do too much at once forgetting about the food on my stove or in the oven allowing it to run over or burn… every….single…time… This product is the absolute best, the results were amazing to the point my stove top looked brand new *tear*. You spray a thick layer onto the burned/ruined area and leave for 7-8 hours, then wipe off with something wet. The only downside was the removal of this is somewhat time-consuming and messy, but once you are able to get it all off, SO worth it. I will say, I feel like a real adult reviewing a cleaning product and actually being excited. Go me! 😊

ELF Poreless Putty Primer

You can never go wrong with ELF. Cheap , replaceable, and surprising. ELF products are always a hit or miss for me, but I’ve found some of my favorite products from this brand. Their newest product has been a hit on TikTok , and hard to get my hands on in the stores. It’s finally been restocked and I was able to test it out for myself. I won’t say it’s anything special, but I also won’t knock it. It’s a decent, cheap daily primer to use, instead of wasting your expensive ones. Am I the only cheap makeup girl? I save my expensive products for nights out, date night, or something special. During the day though? Give me drug store make up. I’ll be fine. This product is essentially the Tatcha Silk Canvas dupe, and right when I opened it I thought that to myself. Similar containers , same color, and same type of product. I ended up not liking the Tatcha primer off the bat (sue me) , and found myself going back to the ELF primer for an everyday wear. It minimizes my pores enough for my liking and helps to give my skin a smoother appearance under makeup.

Kiss Impress Press On-Nails

I’m sure just about everyone and their mom knows about these press on nails , especially with everything going on at the moment. Its getting rough out here. Us ladies are struggling to keep up with our hair, nails , tanning, and everything in between. These nails will definitely keep you lasting until the salons reopen (fingers crossed). This brand is definitely one of the better ones for press on/glue on nails. More style variety, lengths , colors, and more sizes for the nails. I prefer using nail glue and think it gives a better hold to last longer than the sticky pads. You could even use both. When I wore these nails they lasted me a little over a week before a few started popping off, which is natural of course. You can always choose to glue them back on, or pick another style and start over. Although these aren’t the real deal , they come pretty close and even had people asking me where I got my nails done. That’s gotta count for something right now!

I may or may not have a few more TikTok packages coming in the mail already….. I’m such an easy sell. Overall I was pretty pleased with all my products and obviously was eager to buy more. If you guys want to see another review on more TikTok products, let me know! Like always thanks so much for sticking around , and I can’t wait to start on my next post!

30 Beauty Questions Tag 💋

Hi again , B here ! 😊 Welcome, or welcome back! I have a feeling I’m gonna be talking to myself for a bit on here , but at the end of the day I do that either way. I figured I’d start with something simple and fun, I always love to read tags in blogs and watch them on YouTube, so why not? Just another fun little way to get to know me! I went to Google and typed in beauty tags and clicked the first one that popped up(The Beauty Section). Today we are going to be doing the 30 Beauty Questions , feel free to tag yourself and do it too! I’d love to read them. Here we go-!

1. Do you remember your first makeup product ? My very first product was a clear Great Lash mascara (I’ll never forget those neon pink and green tubes) , but my first big girl product was a MAC customized palette for my 14th birthday.

2. Describe your perfect mascara. Have you found one that fits your specifications? Love any mascara that can make it look like I’m wearing false lashes. I was the girl to spend the insane money on the Benefit, They’re Real mascara (10/10). Now I use about 8 different drug store mascaras for the same results (hahaha don’t ask).

3. What kind of coverage do you prefer from foundation? If I’m using foundation, it’s for a reason. HEAVY DUTY BABYYYYY !!!

4. Favorite high end brand? I just discovered the brand Charlotte Tilbury for one of their foundations, and I fell in love. I haven’t tried much else from CT but just from their foundation I’m sold. Definitely want to explore the brand more.

5. What cosmetic brands have you always wanted to try but still haven’t? I’ve definitely tried every brand I’ve been interested in , 7th grade me was a Juicystar07 prodigy. Constantly just buying makeup so I could make the noise in the drawers when doing my never uploaded “makeup collection tour” , please tell me you can relate?

6. Favorite drugstore brand? My girl Maybelline , their foundations and mascaras 10/10!!

7. Do you wear fake lashes? I say this to everyone , if you can teach me to put on lashes, I’ll name my first born baby after you. I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve spent crying on my bedroom floor over putting on lashes before a night out.

8. Is there any kind of makeup you can’t leave the house without? Not necessarily , I pride myself in rolling out of bed and just walking out the door looking scary. If anything I like to always have something on my lips whether it’s chapstick or lipgloss.

9. What is your most cherised beauty product? I don’t think I have one. I’ve never been in love love with anything. I love changing up my routine.

10. How often do you shop for makeup? Do you like to pick up an item here and there or get lots of goodies at once? I’ll shop for makeup when I run out of things or want something new that came out, and normally when I go for the one thing I’ve “accidentally” spent $300 on “necessities”.

11. Do you have a “beauty budget” or you spend freely? Refer to question 10… I’m not proud.

12. Do you utilize coupons, rewards cards and sales when you shop for cosmetics? Girl yessss , a deals a deal , and if I can save a penny I’m there. I love ULTA’s rewards system , and although they don’t have great coupons they always have great deals going on all the time. If a store has a reward/point system I’ll be the first to sign up, free of course.

13. What type of product do you buy the most of? Lipgloss

14. Is there a brand that you absolutely can’t stand? Not a huge fan of BareMinerals.

15. Do you avoid certain ingredients in cosmetics like parabens or sulfates? Regretfully no, I know what you need to avoid and what’s good for your skin but a favorite product is a favorite product… (don’t look at me). I’ll handle the mistakes with skin care.

16. Do you have a favorite place to shop for makeup? First place ULTA ,then Sephora.

17. Do you like trying new skincare products or do you keep a certain routine? I’m a skincare junkie , so I’m constantly buying new products and testing them out. Favorite products to shop for!

18. Favorite bath and body brand? I’m not big on bath and body stuff , I’m always forgetting to apply lotion or even buy it for that matter. What I get is what I get.

19. If you could only buy from one brand, which brand would you choose? Drugstore would definitely be Maybelline , and more high end would be Tarte.

20. What brand do you think has the best packaging? PR packaging included definitely Too Faced and Benefit. I dream of their new launch packages showing up at my doorstep one day.

21. Which celebrity always has great makeup? Kim Kardashian , those Smokey eyes and contour 😍

22. Do you belong to any online makeup communities? No.

23. 5 Favorite beauty gurus? Carli Bybel , James Charles (I know people find him controversial but some of his work is just… *chefs kisses*), Gigi Gorgeous, Bretman Rock *ehhh heee bee*tch* , and Jeffree Star.

24. Do you like multifunctional products like lip and cheek stains? I’m still having flashbacks from my upper lip stained pink for days thinking I picked up a lip gloss. No.

25. Are you clumsy in putting on makeup? Yes, yes, yes. A big pet peeve about myself. I always rush my makeup, give me 20 minutes and I could be out the door. I’m not precise or graceful when it comes to makeup, and it always shows later hehe.

26. Do you use makeup base/primer for the eyes? I still haven’t mastered eyeshadow yet, so I haven’t dived into primers and bases. Just because I’m not very good at doing my eyes I tend to just do eyeliner and lashes.

27. How many hair products do you use on a typical day? I’m so bad at keeping up a hair care routine, but something daily? Maybe dry shampoo. I use a few oils and serums, but that’s only after I wash my hair every couple days.

28. What do you apply first, concealer or foundation? Foundation.

29. Do you ever consider taking makeup classes? I’ve never been into makeup enough to want to take a class , and I’ve found YouTube and Pinterest to be suitable teachers. I definitely see the benefits of taking a class for someone pursuing makeup , they always look so fun and glam!

30. What do you love about makeup? Makeup can literally be anything you want. You messed it up? Not if you say it’s meant to look that way. You want to do a smoky eye with bright pink colors and glitter to go to the grocery store ? Yessss. Make up can be the most basic Chapstick with a little mascara face, all the way to a full beat with brooms for lashes. It doesn’t matter what’s in style with makeup, cause there’s so many options, it’s up to you to decide it all.

Let me know what you think of my beauty tag and if you can relate to any! I love doing these and think they are a great way to get to know people. I’d love to see some of your answers below , or if you decide to do it , tag me so I can see what you think!!

Thanks so much again for sticking around , and hopefully you stop by again soon! Let me know if there’s anything you’d like to see on my page sometime soon.

And so it Begins…

Hi everyone, B here ! I’m not sure how you ended up on my page, or how long you plan on sticking around, but for now WELCOME and I hope you stay awhile 😊You’ll have to bear with me as I figure out my blog and try to make it as “aesthetically pleasing” as possible. I’m not as tech savvy as I thought I was.

I guess you always have to start something new with a little blurb about yourself. I’m blonde (not naturally of course). Obviously. I’m in my 20’s and live right in the hustle and bustle of the crazy state of Texas. We have it all here. All the way from finger licking BBQ to taking shots at the coolest bars and clubs around. With all the distractions here , its hard to stay put. I’m currently not in college or taking any classes, but I’m working on my “next big venture”. (We’ll see how that goes) I feel like I’m still too young to know my exact calling in life. I’ll tell you one thing though , its not being a teacher , esthetician, or Ultrasound tech. I’ve done it all. I’m in a relationship. At least I tell myself I am… it’s most definitely what Facebook would title as , “It’s complicated”. A mess actually. I’m big on relationships so my S/O and family are my world , most of my time is spent with them. When nighttime rolls around , I thrive. I love spending my nights out getting all dressed up , dancing and partying with my girls, or working the bottle service tables at the best clubs in the city. A bottle of Ace never hurt nobody , hehe. ☺️If I had to give you a description of myself, I would say imagine Tinker Bell and Bubbles (with a sprinkle of Buttercup) from PPG got morphed together as one. I need attention or I’ll die. I’m sensitive and could cry at the drop of a hat. I’m sassy (and a little b*tchy my mom would say) but sweet when needed.

Think of me as the big sister you never had. Answering all the scary questions you’re too nervous to ask your parents about. Recommending you the best beauty products to keep you gorgeous and glowing , and making sure you have the best outfit in any room you walk into. It’s like one big diary of stories, tips, and tricks of being the Bottled Up Blonde. I want this page to be a positive and carefree environment. I want to make you laugh when you relate to one of my cringy stories, and think of my page as something fun. Ignore my spelling mistakes, made up words, and silly side comments. There will be plenty. Don’t just read the page , be here with me. Just like chatting with your girlfriends over Mexican food and margaritas. I’m your girl.

If you’ve stuck around this long for a simple, little hello , Thank you. I hope it’s enough for you to come back around and chat with me. Let me know what you guys would want to read about, questions, story times, favorites. Nothing is off limits!

Until next time ,

B💕
